Arriving in Trujillo, you will experience the warmth, hospitality and seaside charm of the oldest, most historic port town of the Honduran Caribbean coast. Your time spent will prove to be an unforgettable experience.
In your two-hour tour, you will visit the Santa Barbara Fortress, built in 1575 to protect the port town. Enjoy the scenic Trujillo Bay view from high above, before continuing on your tour day. The Historic Town Center is known for its' eclectic architecture...comprised of an interesting mix of its Spanish colonial past, English Victorian influence, and reminders of the Banana Republic era.
Travel to a scenic overlook of the Guaymoreto Lagoon Wildlife Refuge, a bird watcher's paradise. Catch a glimpse of Storks, Herons, Ducks, Egrets, Pelicans and other brilliant birds along the shore and in the sky. Your tour will also visit the small working villages of the Garifuna and Crete people
Best of Trujillo Cultural Tour: $20 per person
- Meet at our Kiosk/Assembly Area and Depart 1 1/2 Hours after your ship's scheduled time of arrival at our port (for example, if you are scheduled to arrive at 8AM, we leave at 9:30 AM!) This is a Group Tour with other guests from your ship...please be prompt. Your tour vehicle will be waiting to depart one and a half hours after your ship's scheduled arrival.
- There is a 4-person minimum for this tour. If you have less than 4 guests in your group, please fill out the tour request form below and we will do our best to get a group together from your ship! Also, feel free to post details of this Best of Trujillo Sightseeing/Cultural tour on your Cruise Critic and other Cruise-related message boards to entice others to join you!
- 2 to 2.5 Hour sightseeing, cultural and historical tour of Trujillo!
- ++If your ship arrives late: Your Best of Trujillo tour will STILL leave one-and-a-half hours after your ship originally scheduled arrival time, so be prompt!
- For our Trujillo excursions, we require a PayPal deposit in the amount of $5 per person.
- Your deposit is 100% Refundable if your ship is unable to dock. We will also refund your deposit if we receive your cancellation by email dated at least 48 hours prior to your ship's arrival time at our port. For cancellations, please drop us an email ASAP!
