Starfish Sandbar & Cayo Blanco Snorkel: Highlights
Your first stop on our snorkling tour will be a 30 minute visit to the Sea Star Bank, a sandbar filled with starfish of all shapes and sizes! A great, unique place to interact with starfish...a perfect opportunity for pictures, for sure! After our fun, 30 minute Starfish stop, we will be on our way to Cayo Blanco!
Cayo Blanco is located about 3 miles off the coastline at Trujillo. Once an island above sea-level, it now hides just feet below the surface, the home of beautiful coral reefs filled with lobster, tropical fish, snapper, a few barracuda, and clean, clear water.
En route to Cayo Blanco, the water is sapphire blue and clear...a deep shade of blue. As you approach, where before there had just been deep blue water, you will now be staring at coral heads, sea fans, staghorn coral, and fish that you can see from the boat. The water is so clear, you feel like you can see forever.
The colors of the fish and coral, with a bright blue backdrop of the ocean, paint a vision which will be stamped into your memory for a very long time. Your tour will spend an hour at Cayo Blanco...floating, paddling, diving, and exploring over the reefs.
Starfish Sandbar & Cayo Blanco Snorkel by Boat Tour: $35 per guest
- Meet at our Kiosk/Assembly Area and Depart 1 1/2 Hours after your ship's scheduled time of arrival at our port (for example, if you are scheduled to arrive at 8AM, we leave at 9:30AM!) This is a Group Tour with other guests from your ship...please be prompt. Your tour boat will be waiting to depart one and a half hours after your ship's scheduled arrival...just a short walk to our nearby dock.
- There is a 4-person minimum for this tour. If you have less than 4 guests in your group, please fill out the tour request form below and we will do our best to get a group together from your ship! Also, feel free to post details of this Starfish & Snorkeling tour on your Cruise Critic and other Cruise-related message boards to entice others to join you!
- Tour Duration: 2.5 to 3 Hours (includes 30 minutes at the Starfish Sandbar and 1 hour of snorkeling at Cayo Blanco.) Tour concludes at Trujillo Beach, right next to the cruise ship dock!
- ++If your ship arrives late: Your Starfish & Snorkel Tour will STILL leave one-and-a-half hours after your ship originally scheduled arrival time, so be prompt!
- For our Trujillo excursions, we require a PayPal deposit in the amount of $5 per person.
- Your deposit is 100% Refundable if your ship is unable to dock. We will also refund your deposit if we receive your cancellation by email dated at least 48 hours prior to your ship's arrival time at our port. For cancellations, please drop us an email ASAP!
